Hello again wonderful people! So today's Book Chatter video is all about characters and their importance within the novel. Making sure that you develop believable, interesting characters is crucial to making sure that you're novel is a success. Characters that jump off the page and feel real to your reader will make sure that a reader sympathizes and relates to the struggles that your characters are going through.
Because I believe in character driven plots, character planning is one of my first actions whenever I get a new novel idea. Then thinking through their relationships and interactions is key in how I like to think through plotting. I also do this for all of my villains, so that when I get stuck plotting, I can think things through from the villain's point of view and work out what actions and steps they take next. After all, the villain can't hold up their hands and do nothing while someone comes to stop them. It's unrealistic!
I hope you enjoyed the video, as always I welcome feedback! I hope you all have fantastic weeks and I look forward to seeing you again soon. Bye!
